Hi there! Thanks for stopping by.
My name is Sarah, and I'm also affectionately known as "Science Sarah" to my 100+ early childhood students. For almost 15 years, I've taught science in formal (classroom) and informal (museums, zoo, and national parks) settings. I am using this space as a way to share some of my favorite, budget-friendly, field-tested, and easily-replicable science, STEAM, and sensory activities to try with your child(ren)!
My activities incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.
Content will be added regularly, so check back often or subscribe below!
Note: Many of these activities are resurrected from a website I developed and managed while my children were very young, so if you notice "The Sisterhood of the Training Pants" overlaid on photographs, please disregard. I uphold that the content and photos are original. In the convenience of getting material posted quickly during this unprecedented time of home learning, I didn't have time to edit the many photos I have, so I ask for your grace and patience as I upload or re-shoot new photos.
